| 1st - 6th | Mostly very gloomy, overcast and damp. Extended LP area over W Europe. Minimum 995 hpa, Biscay. Rain from occlusion starting midmorning of 1st through to the evening and showers later. Fog to midmorning of 2nd becoming brighter. Little change in LP position, more rain from cold front late pm into evening of 3rd and drizzle late evening of 5th. More drizzle and rain evening of 6th through to early morning 7th. |
| 7th - 14th | Very unsettled. Low 988 hpa, S Ireland, filling slowly - situation becomes more mobile from the W. Drizzle and light rain morning of 8th through to early pm, heavy showers from early evening to midnight with passage of cold front. Showers on the 9th with squalls just before midnight. Low 965 hpa, NW close to Scotland, filling while drifting SE. Rain from 07.30 to late night on the 10th, occasionally heavy and blustery. Becoming more settled from the onwards. By 13th HP 1033 hpa, halfway between Azores and Iberia, drifting slowly NE. Drizzle during 13th pm. |
| 15th - 21st | HP 1031 hpa, Biscay, strengthening slightly, LP to N of Shetland Islands. Rain shower mid pm of 16th. 17th, HP 1035 hpa, from southern North Sea to W of Brittany, drifting NW while strengthening, LP 1012 hpa to NW of Ireland with warm front bringing drizzle pm. Some drizzle early morning 18th and pm of 19th. 20th, HP 1041 hpa, far W of Ireland, almost stationary. LP 983 hpa, S Norway, drifting E while deepening. Showers early am and evening on 21st. |
| 22nd - 26th | HP 1043 hpa, far W of Ireland, almost stationary, weakening. Extended LP area 985 hpa over Baltic Lands and NE Russia, filling slowly. 23rd, Satellite LP 982 hpa, NW of Scotland; moving SE bringing light to moderate snow for 1.5 hours just after dawn, which gave a dusting of cover before turning to rain later. 24th, LP 960 hpa, Baltic Lands, filling. Satellite LP 985 hpa, NE France, drifting E while filling. Light rain am, followed by showers later. 26th, HP 1038 hpa, far W of Ireland, weakening slowly, but extending a ridge 1024 hpa to S Germany. |
| 27th - 30th | A gloomy and wet period. LP 990 hpa, Biscay, drifting slowly east while deepening. A very slow moving front stalls near the SE on the 28th bringing light rain for virtually the whole day. Intermittent light rain on pm 29th and pre dawn 30th. |
