Dominated by HP, mainly sunny but with cold winds from the 4th. 1st, HP 1013 hPa N France. Long sunny periods 2nd and 3rd. 4th, HP 1027 hPa Scotland extending west to S of Iceland, LP 994 hPa Corsica/Sardinia. 7th, HP 1036 hPa North Sea, uninterrupted sunshine dawn to dusk.
9th - 14th
9th, HP 1036 hPa northern Scotland, LP 994 hPa Sardinia, cloudy with sunny intervals. 10th, cloudy and dull. 11th, HP slips west 50N 20W 1033hPA, mainly cloudy but bright am, wind less cold. 12th, cold front moving down from north brings rain showers pm and more persistent light rain early eve. 13th, HP 1034 hPa WSW of Cornwall, LP 992 hPa Finland, mainly cloudy. 14th, long sunny spells with breeze.
15th - 18th
15th & 16th, long sunny periods, HP 1030 hPa near Switzerland, LP 977 hPa 30°W. 17th, a sunny day but hazier than previous days. 18th, LP 974 hPa W of Ireland at 15°W, fog am clearing to sun then cloudy pm, light rain late evening.
19th - 25th
19th, cloudy and dull with light rain early am and moderate rain evening. 20th LP 998 hPa S Wales with many fronts and a trough over UK. 20th, dull with intermittent rain. 21st, dull with rain early am clearing to sunny spells after midday. 22nd, sunny start, cloudy later with rain after 18.30. 23rd, dense fog am clearing to brighter skies than cloudy and dull with drizzle pm. 24th, LP 995 hPa Ireland, LP 973 & 981 hPa further W, HP to N and E, moderate/heavy rain late eve. 25th, rain showers am, thundery rain pm.
26th - 31st
26th, LP 986 hPa N of Scotland, 990 hPa S of Ireland, sunny spells with light rain showers late pm and evening. 27th, mixture of sunny intervals and light rain showers pm. 28th, mainly cloudy, light rain from early evening intermittently to next morning. 29th, LP 983 hPa far to SW of Ireland with fronts over S England, LP 992 hPa southern Norway, mainly dull with heavy bursts of rain from a trough from late afternoon. 30th, two spells of heavy rain first during the rush hour and then early afternoon with sunny intervals in between and to end the day. 31st, LP 982 hPa NE England, a very miserable day with intermittent rain / drizzle and a cold wind, heavier rain shower ealry evening.
