1st - 7th
1st, LP 986 hPa off NE Scotland, mainly sunny. 2nd LP 987 hPa W of Ireland, LP 992 hPa N of Scotland, HP 1023 hPa Spain, cold front passes early pm with 2 hours light/moderate rain. 3rd, mainly cloudy with sunny intervals, rain after 21.30h to 02.00 following morning. 4th, LP 1006 hPa Netherlands coast, LPs to far W, HP 1030 hPa W of Portugal, light rain showers early am sunny intervals later. 5th, mainly cloudy with sunny intervals. 6th, a sunny day but with extensive thin high cloud. 7th, cloudy with cold front passing pm bringing light rain.
8th - 15th
8th, HP 1034 hPa near Isles of Scilly, almost unbroken sunshine. 9th, sunny but cloudier mid-afternoon onwards. 10th and 11th, sunny. 12th cloudy am, sunnier pm. 13th, HP 1036 hPa N Atlantic, LP 1002 hPa Madeira, mainly sunny. 14th, weak front moves E to W, cloudy and dull am, brighter later with cloud clearing late pm. 15th, another sunny day, high altitude diffuse volcanic ash from Eyjafjallajökull in Iceland covers much of the UK skies but is not visible.
16th - 24th
16th, HP still dominates, 1024/1026 hPa Southern England, fog am clearing 09.00 for a sunny day with volcanic ash cloud faintly visible. 17th - 19th, sunny but again with a visible haze. 20th - 23rd, less haze, some cloud but still long sunny periods. 24th, hazy sunshine and very low humidity.
25th - 30th
25th, HPs to S and E, LPs to W, after 17 days without rainfall, light rain showers am from passage of cold fronts. 26th, mainly cloudy with sunny intervals pm. 27th, sunny am and late pm, cloudier middle of day. 28th, long sunny periods. 29th, sunny am with rain showers pm and early night. 30th, LP 994 hPa northern Norway and HP over Mediterranean Sea, light rain early am from passage of fronts.
