1st
LP 1007 hPa Ireland tracking ESE. Mainly overcast and dull day. A period of rain from 05.00 to 10.00 and a further band of rain from 14.00 to 16.00 both with briefly heavy bursts.
2nd
HP 1030 hPa Faroe Islands. A dreary day of overcast except for a brief glimpse of sunshine, one in mid-morning and one just after midday. Very dull in late afternoon with a short spell of rain coming down from the NE.
3rd
HP 1030 hPa E Anglia. A sunny start with cloud developing for a while around midmorning. Longer sunny periods in the afternoon.
4th
Bright and sunny at first with high and mid level cloud from midmorning making the sunshine more hazy and then milky. Bright sunshine returns in the afternoon, but hazy again by early evening.
5th
Bright with sunny spells until late afternoon but extensive high cloud makes the sunshine rather hazy. Cloud thickens later in the day.
6th
A dull and overcast start with some spots of light drizzle. Sky clears during the morning to give sunny spells and longer periods of sunshine in the afternoon .
7th
Generally rather cloudy with some longish sunny intervals morning and afternoon. A few spots of light rain from a couple of passing showers in the afternoon and evening.
8th
LP 999 hPa North Sea. Light rain and drizzle from 08.00 to 13.30. Rain clears but staying overcast and very dull for much of the afternoon. A little brightness after 19.00.
9th
Rather cloudy in the morning with some sunny intervals. Clearer in the afternoon with some longer sunny spells. Rather breezy until the evening.
10th
LP 990 hPa NW Ireland. Light rain then drizzle from the early hours to 09.00. Becoming bright but blustery with some squally rain showers in the afternoon, one briefly with very heavy rain.
11th
LP 989 hPa N Sea E of Scotland tracking toward Denmark. Cool, overcast breezy morning. Sunny spells develop in the afternoon and the wind eases a little.
12th
A bright day with sunny spells and variable amounts of cloud, showers in vicinity pass well north or south until a band passes overhead in the early night.
13th
Showers die out overnight. A rather cloudy day with a three rain showers in the afternoon/early evening.
14th
HP 1036 hPa W of Cornwall. A sunny morning with cloud increasing after midday and in the afternoon but still with long sunny spells. Sky clears again in the early evening.
15th
A bright day with sunny periods in the morning and late afternoon onwards, rather cloudier for a while in the middle of the day.
16th
HP 1033 hPa southern England. A sunny day with patches of thin high cloud making the sunshine a little hazy at times.
17th
A warm day despite cloudy periods, with some long sunny spells although sometimes a little weak or hazy.
18th
LP 1002 hPa S of Iceland, HP from SE Spain to the Black Sea. A day of almost uninterrupted sunshine with only a few small clouds in the morning.
19th
LP 999 hPa S of Cornwall. Another day of near uninterrupted sunshine but with some cloud build up briefly in the afternoon.
20th
A mainly cloudy day with some short sunny spells and intervals.
21st
Early morning mist clears a little after 07.00. Some sunny intervals up to 13.00, then the afternoon becomes increasingly cloudy. Spell of rain, sometimes heavy after 22.00.
22nd
A short spell of very heavy rain around 01.30. Mainly cloudy with a few sunny intervals in the morning and early afternoon. Thunderstorm a little before 15.00 with some hail and very heavy rain. Followed by sunshine and showers.
23rd
LP 999 hPa Bristol Channel. A rather cloudy morning with a few sunny intervals. Some longer sunny spells in the afternoon and especially the evening.
24th
LP 1005 hPa South Devon. Spells of rain, very heavy at times, from 03.00 to 09.00. Cloudy with sunny intervals, another spell of heavy rain from a trough between 14.00 - 15.15 during which time temperature falls sharply.
25th
Rather cloudy morning with some sunny intervals, becoming less cloudy in the afternoon with longer sunny spells and a fine sunny evening.
26th
Bank Holiday Monday. A spell of rain from 03.00 to 06.00 followed by a cloudy morning with a brief spell of brightness. Becomig more dull in the afternoon with some pulses of very heavy rain..
27th
A very damp, dull and dismal day with spitting rain or drizzle lasting virtually all day. A band of heavier rain from a new developing LP centre in the southern North Sea arrives in the evening.
28th
Light rain/drizzle continues overnight into the early morning. LP 1009 hPa Essex. Another overcast day with some intermittent light drizzle.
29th
A cloudy start with a few brief sunny intervals in the morning. Becoming less cloudy with some longer sunny spells in the afternoon.
30th
Overcast and rather dull until 15.30 when the clouds suddenly break to give some sunny spells into the evening.
31st
A clear and sunny morning but cloud spreads in after midday.
