LP 991 hPa NW of Azores, LP 999 hPa SW of Ireland, LP 1003 hPa Brittany. A cloudy day with a cool breeze, brightening for a time in the afternoon to give a couple of sunny spells.
2nd
Rather cloudy, dull early and late but with some brightness in the middle of the day including a spell of weak sunshine. A spell of moderate rainfall after 22.30.
3rd
LP 980 hPa NW of Ireland. A mass of fronts associated with the low pressure gives light rain in the early hours followed by a long spell of moderate rainfall from 08.00 to 10.30. Cloud slowly clears by early afternoon to give some short sunny spells later.
4th
LP 992 hPa Finisterre moving NNE. A fine morning with spells of weak sunshine due to patches of high cloud. Clouding over in the afternoon and becoming a little dull. Rain arrives from the south at 19.30.
5th
LP 982 hPa Isle of Man. Rain continues overnight, briefly heavy, dying out just after 01.00. A second spell of rain from a cold front brings bursts of extremely heavy rain between 04.00 and 05.30 moving away NNE with some drizzle clearing by 09.00. The cloud clears during the morning to give some sunny spells but very windy from mid-morning onwards.
6th
LP 990 hPa Southern Scotland. A new low pressure drives showers across from the west, heaviest and most frequent in the morning and dying out by mid-afternoon. Some sunny intervals and a couple of short sunny spells but rather dull during the times of the showers. Very windy.
7th
A fine day, fairly bright with sunny spells but also some long cloudy spells.
8th
Bright but cloudy in the morning with some intervals of weak sunshine. Becoming overcast in mid-afternoon with a spell of rain in the early evening.
9th
Some brightness and sunny intervals early on but becoming cloudy in late morning as showers pass nearby. Brightening again after 13.00 to give some short sunny spells.
10th
A cloudy morning with a few sunny intervals, becoming brighter after midday to give some long sunny spells.
11th
Bright morning but as so often this month the cloud although high is extensive and thick enough to block sunshine. The cloud breaks in the middle of the day to allow some long sunny spells albeit a little hazy.
12th
After some early brightness becoming cloudy from mid-morning with a few spots of light rain. Brightening again after midday to give some long spells of sunshine, especially later.
13th
Uninterrupted sunshine and mainly clear skies from the early morning through to mid-afternoon when cloud increases but remaining rather sunny into the early evening.

An overcast and dull start with drizzle starting around 10.00. Persistent rain until the evening, moderate for a short spell in early afternoon, and continuing on and off into the night
15th
Light rain and drizzle intermittently overnight dying out by dawn. The morning is bright with a long sunny spell before cloud develops after 10.00. A cloudy afternoon with a couple of short sunny intervals in late afternoon and early evening.

An overcast and rather dull start but the cloud starting to break after 09.30. Some sunny intervals in the mid and late morning but sky clearing more in the afternoon to give some long sunny periods through to sunset.

Bright start with sunshine through patchy thin high clouds thick enough to block sunshine briefly at times. Sunny spells through the morning and early afternoon with a cloudy period in mid afternoon, more sunny intervals in late afternoon and evening.
18th
Overcast and dull to start with rain moving in from the west from 10.00 to 12.30. Cloud mostly clears to give some sunny spells from mid-afternoon into evening.
19th
LP 990 hP SE of Shetland Islands. A bright morning with sunny spells but a fresh breeze. Sunny spells in early afternoon but thundery showers push in from the W giving light and short lived rain at first but very heavy for a while in early evening. Clearing just before sunset.
20th
A light rain shower just after midnight. A sunny and clear start but becoming rather cloudy by mid-morning. Some long cloudy spells with sunny intervals in the afternoon but clearing slightly to give longer sunny spells in the evening.
21st
Long sunny periods despite occasional patches of cloud drifting across in the middle of the day.
22nd
A mixture of sunny and cloudy spells in the morning but rather more cloudy in the afternoon. Clearing a little during the evening.
23rd
Cloudy and mild morning, becoming cooler, overcast and dull in the middle of the day with some brief light drizzle. Brightening a little and warming slightly from mid-afternoon.
24th
A cloudy start with sunny spells developing in mid-morning. More cloudy in the afternoon with a very brief spell of light rain from passage of a weak cold front.

Another cloudy day with sunny intervals confined mainly to the morning. More cloudy in the afternoon and becoming overcast and more dull from late afternoon.

HP 1038 hPa N of Azores, LP 1001 hPa Iceland. Early cloud moves away southwards. Becoming a bright day with sunny spells developing after 09.00 and lasting through the day.

A sunny day with just occasional patches of high cloud drifting across the sky, but becoming cloudy and breezy by early evening .
28th
A day with long sunny spells even though it is rather cloudy at times in the afternoon.
29th
LP 1000 hPa The Wash. Cloudy but bright morning with a sunny spell around 09.30. Becoming overcast after midday as a cold front passes bringing a spell of rain, extremely heavy for a couple of minutes. Brightening again after the frontal cloud clears around 16.00 for some sunny intervals, a rain shower in early evening and clearing to give a sunny end to the day.
30th
A sunny start although with patchy high thin cloud but becoming more cloudy through late morning and early afternoon. Some longer sunny spells from mid-afternoon onwards.
31st
LP 994 hPa NE Scotland. Light rain and drizzle from warm fronts from the early hours lasting into mid-morning. Rain eases but staying damp and dull. Cold front brings a brief burst of heavy rain around 16.00. Clearing after 18.00 to give some sunny intervals in the evening.
