HP 1027 hPa Biscay ridging NE from Azores. A bright day with sunny spells, longest in the afternoon although high cloud is ever present and becoming more cloudy in early evening.
2nd
LP 994 hPa S of Iceland and W of Ireland. Cloudy morning with a couple of short sunny intervals. Overcast by midday and dull in the afternoon with a couple of short spells of rain as a cold front crosses.
3rd
LP 's 1001 & 1000 hPa W Outer Hebrides and of Ireland. A bright morning with some long sunny spells, becoming more cloudy from midday with just a couple of sunny intervals in early afternoon. Overcast by late afternoon and rain arriving from the west in the evening.
4th
LP 1004 hPa North Sea, HP 1021 hPa Biscay. A sunny start but soon clouding over with just a few bright moments from mid-morning onwards.
5th
LP 977 hPa SSW of Iceland, HP 1021 hPa Southern Norway. A dull, wet morning with rain and drizzle slowly clearing towards midday. Staying overcast during the afternoon and gloomy at times with just a few small breaks in the cloudsheet in the evening.
6th
Another overcast day and dull at times although warm and humid. Some fleeting glimpses of brightness in the morning and afternoon but the cloud shows no sign of lifting or clearing until the evening.
7th
An overcast, dull and murky start to the day but the cloud lifts and clears from the SE around 10.00. The rest of the day is mainly sunny with just a few patches of high cloud.
8th
A bright but slightly breezy day with some long sunny periods.

LP 968 hPa SW of Iceland, LP 973 hPa W of Donegal, HP 1019 hPa Luxembourg. A dull and overcast start with a spell of drizzle in mid-morning. Clearing slowly to give some short sunny spells from late morning onwards.

LP 1011 hPa Central England. A glimpse of the sun first thing but quickly becoming overcast for the rest of the day, increasingly dull from mid-afternoon with a long spell of drizzle and light rain in late afternoon and early evening.

LP 971 hPa West of Ireland at 20°W. A short spell of drizzle in the early hours. A sunny day from start to end with just some patches of thin high cloud during the morning.

LP 975 hPa near SE Iceland. A bright day with some long sunny spells but also rather cloudy spells especially in late afternoon and evening.

LP 1005 hPa Biscay, HP 1023 hPa Scandinavia. Bright morning with some sunny spells but also extensive thin high cloud cover for a period. Cloud largely clears in late morning giving sunny periods in the afternoon. Hottest September day in these site records.

Sunny periods interrupted by some cloudy spells in mid and late morning.

LP 1009 hPa London, LP 1001 hPa Biscay. A bright day with long spells of hazy sunshine and some patchy cloud.

LP 1008 hPa North Sea. Very dull morning with spells of light rain with temperature steadily falling. A couple of heavier spells of rain after midday before the cold front clears eastwards in mid-afternoon. Becoming brighter for a time but overcast again by evening.

LP 1015 hPa southern North Sea. Another dull day, staying overcast with a little light drizzle in the morning and a cool breeze.
18th
A mainly cloudy day with some short brighter spells and sunny intervals.
19th
HP 1034 hPa & 1023 hPa southern Norway. Broken cloud in the morning and early afternoon allows a few sunny intervals, but becoming overcast in mid-afternoon and dull later.

Once again, a cloudy day and dull at times, a short lived spell of brightness in late afternoon as the cloud breaks.

LP 987 hPa S of Iceland, HP 1030 hPa Barents Sea. Rather cloudy at daybreak but the cloud breaks in midmorning to give plenty of sunny intervals and longer sunny spells in the afternoon.

LP 985 hPa Iceland. Early cloud clears eastwards during mid-morning to give some sunny spells. Turning more cloudy again in the afternoon but still some short sunny spells and intervals later.

LP 978 hPa S of Iceland, HP 1027 hPa Biscay. A long sunny period in the morning with little cloud. A little cloudier in the middle of the day, clearing to give another long sunny period in the afternoon.

LP 983 hPa S of Iceland, LP 991 hPa W of Ireland. A sunny morning although sunshine is hazy from thin high cloud. Cloud thickens in the afternoon and it is overcast by evening.

LP 990 hPa NNW of Scotland, HP 1027 hPa Baltic States. A cloudy morning with a few spots of light rain, clearing and brightening to give some sunny spells in the afternoon.

LP 1008 hPa SW of Ireland. Cloudy start with a brief spell of brightness before a short light rain shower in mid-morning. Becoming brighter in the afternoon with some sunny intervals.

LP 982 hPa SE of Iceland. A very cloudy day with some brightness during the morning. Overcast in the afternoon and becoming dull.

LP 995 hPa S of Iceland, HP 1032 hPa Azores ridging NE. Early cloud clears eastwards to give a sunny morning and middle of the day, but with plenty of thin high cloud at times. Cloud thickens and becomes more extensive from mid-afternoon onwards.

LP 974 hPa W of southern Norway. Overcast and dull morning with some drizzle, followed by a short spell of heavier rain in late morning as cold front passes from NW. Brighter although still cloudy in the afternoon with a few sunny intervals.

LP 968 hPa W of northern Norway, HP 1029 hPa Azores. Early cloud cover clears in mid-morning to give a long sunny spell but some more cloud develops in late morning. A cloudier spell in mid afternoon with a few drops of rain from passing showers but clearing again later to give a sunny end to the day.
