Following a little drizzle in the night, a dull and dreary day with spells of light rain and drizzle starting before sunset through to the middle of the afternoon.
2nd
LP 961 hPa WSW of SW Ireland. A little drizzle in the night. A cloudy morning with a few sunny intervals in mid-morning. A spell of rain in late morning then staying overcast until another band of rain crosses in early evening.
3rd
LP 982 hPa Cornwall. A bright morning with some sunny spells. Sunny intervals at first in the afternoon but becoming overcast with rain arriving from the west before sunset.
4th
LP 982 hPa S Irish Sea. Overcast and dull morning with a spell of rain from 08.00 to 09.00. Starting to brighten a little by noon and the cloud breaks in the afternoon to give some short sunny spells.

LP 995 hPa NW France. A very cloudy day and dull at times in the afternoon.
6th
LP 934 hPa SW of Iceland, HP 1045 Finland. A bright morning with some sunny spells although rather hazy. Becoming cloudy then overcast during the afternoon. A period of rain starting in the early part of the night.

LP 1001 hP Central Scotland, HP 1048 Finland. Light rain and drizzle in the night. Overcast sky clearing slowly to give some sunny spells mainly in the middle part of the day.

LP 965 hP WSW of Iceland, HP 1051 Sweden. An overcast and very dull day with low stratus except for a very brief break in the cloudsheet in late afternoon.

LP 996 hP NW of Finisterre, HP 1052 N Sweden. An overcast, murky and extremely dull day with little change in light levels under low stratus. A spell of drizzle in the night.

LP 989 hP W of Finisterre, HP 1049 Finland. A spell of drizzle in the dark hours of the morning. Another overcast, murky and even more dull day than the previous; again under low stratus. After sunset however, the sky partially clears as showers with light snow flurries move across from the NE.
11th
HP 1041 W of Outer Hebrides, HP 1045 hPa Latvia. Moderate snowfall around sunrise gives a patchy minor ground covering although not on roads and pavements. After a short lull light snowfall coming from the NE persists for several hours but does not accumulate during a slow thaw of the existing cover. Dry for a time but remaining overcast and very dull once more through daytime. Light drizzle arrives from the NE after sunset.
12th
Some light drizzle in the early hours. Yet another murky day of dull, overcast skies with low stratus but just a little less gloomy than the previous days. Temperature rising slowly but steadily into the night as the wind changes direction.
13th
HP 1041 hPa SW Sweden, LP 993 hPa NW of Finisterre. A complete change with a largely cloud free day giving uninterrupted sunshine although rather hazy at times with a cool breeze.
14th
A mainly cloudy day with some sunny intervals in the morning and afternoon.
15th
A very cloudy day and dull at times. A spell of rain in the afternoon followed by a brief brighter spell with a glimpse of sunshine and then another short spell of rain at sunset.
16th
A bright day but rather cloudy at times with some sunny spells in the morning/middle of the day and a few sunny intervals in the afternoon.
17th
HP 1030 hPa C France. Sunny spells in the morning and middle of the day but overcast and a little dull for a time in early afternoon. Becoming brighter again in late afternoon with some sunny intervals.

Persistent cloud in the morning starts to clear by midday to give some sunshine. Increasingly clear sky and fine with a long sunny spell from early afternoon to sunset.

LP 994 hPa Iceland, HP 1037 hPa NNE of Azores. Mainly clear through the night but a cloudy day although bright at times with some sunny intervals, mostly in the morning and middle of the day.
20th
Overcast and rather dull to start but low cloud slowly clears during the morning to give some short sunny spells, although very cloudy at times in the afternoon.

A little drizzle in the night followed by an overcast and dull day with some spots of drizzle in late afternoon.

LP 967 hPa SW Norway, HP 1024 hPa Biscay. An overcast day, dull in the later part of the afternoon and rather windy.
23rd
LP 974 hPa "Storm Doris" tracks eastwards across northern England. A spell of rain in mid-morning, briefly heavy as a cold front crosses. Cloudy with sunny intervals, and very windy with strong gusts especially in the middle of the day and afternoon.
24th
A bright start with a long sunny spell in the morning with cloud slowly building up towards midday. Rather cloudy for a time in the middle of the day but further sunny spells develop from mid-afternoon.
25th
An overcast, rather dull and breezy day. Bands of light rain in late evening as fronts cross from the west.
26th
A mainly overcast and breezy day with some intermittent drizzle and just a brief glimpse of sunshine in the middle of the day. Bands of light rain cross from late evening into the night..
27th
LP 979 hPa W of Outer Hebrides. A wet day although most of the rain falls in the dark hours. A period of rain, heavy at times, clears by sunrise. Remaining overcast and mainly dull in the morning with outbreaks of showery rain. Two further spells of rather heavy showery rain again in early and mid-afternoon before the sky partly clears to give a short spell of late sunshine.
28th
LP 968 hPa North Sea SSW of Norway. A bright start with cloud slowly clearing eastwards to give a long spell of sunshine. Becoming more cloudy after midday with a band of light rain crossing briefly in late afternoon, and clearing again towards sunset.
